In addition to the challenges of navigating the changing tides,
exposure to the sun on the rocky shoreline of Mount Desert
Island also offered a dilemma.This cozy cave in the Otter Cliffs
provided ample shade and a shallow tidal pool for keeping
cool in the afternoon sun.
