Jean's Run - Jim Thorpe

Directions:
From the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, take exit 34.
Go west on US-209 through Lehighton. Follow 209 to Rt. 93 and make a right onto Route 93/Hunter St.
Use the parking area for the state game lands about 2 miles from 209 on the right hand side of Rt. 93 (there is a shooting range across the street)

Notes: Follow the gravel road about 20 minutes to the bridge at Jean's Run. You can pick up a rugged trail to the right of the bridge before crossing. The Run features numerous cascading waterfalls, but the trail all but disappears through the dense mountain laurel and rocky outcroppings. A beautiful hike for the more adventurous.
