Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center, Belfast

Directions:
At the foot of Blue Mountain in Northampton County, Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center is reached from PA 33 at the Belfast Exit, near Nazareth, PA.
Make a right off the exit of northbound RT 33 and follow signs to the Education Center
(You'll need to make a hard left hand turn to follow the road to the park, but it is clearly marked)

The parking lot will be on the left hand side after the Route 33 overpass
Maps are available at the kiosk (We usually stick to the Henry's Woods loop trail)

Notes: A vast and gorgeous park with splendid painting spots. The loop is well-blazed, but does get a bit rugged along the upper banks. For ease of traversing the creek, you may want to bring waterproof sandals. Modern restrooms have been added at the Henry's Woods trail head. Other than some sporadic poison ivy and the occasional tick, the site offers some very comfortable painting spots. Be aware that hunting is allowed in some areas of the park, so use common sense during hunting season and wear bright clothing.
